Rwanda has only 1 Savannah National Park. This 1,122 sq Km Mass of Land is the Largest and only one with Wetland adapted species in the Great Lakes Region. It is Home to Africa’s Big 5 Including The large African Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Rhinos, Buffaloes as well as the other smaller Species like Antelopes and Zebras. Akagera NP is also home to amazing aquatic Life like the Large Nile Crocodiles, Hippos as well as Aquatic Birds like African Fish Eagles and Pied King Fishers. For the Bird Lovers, the Park is home to more than 550 Bird Species making it a truly Birding Paradise.
